Boudoir

First of all, recognise the fact that even considering a boudoir session takes some courage – you are braver than you think! Believe it or not, there are not many people who walk into a shoot relaxed and ready. Ahead of your shoot, we’ll have your Pre-Shoot Consultation to help you prepare. I’ll also arm you with my Styling and Preparation Guide as well as tips and tricks to have the best time ever during your shoot. Everyone has nerves and I expect the first few minutes of the shoot to be a little stiff. If you feel like you have no idea what to do or expect, that is completely normal. I do everything I can to make you feel relaxed and comfortable during your session. I walk you through the entire process and offer all the direction you need. I am always available via phone as well. I am here for you and ready to support and cheer you on.

Yes, that is my job! I will direct you through the entire session, so you don’t need to worry about a thing. I get into the pose myself to show you how it looks, and then assist you with the pose from your head to your toes. I know how to capture your most natural poses, movements and expressions. I am not only a professional boudoir photographer, but also someone who has had my own session and knows what it’s like to be on your side of the lens. So trust me, I’ve got you!

I understand the delicate and intimate nature of your images and I respect every client’s privacy. Every client has the choice to either decline the Model Release, keeping her images off the internet and inside the studio, or release her images to be published publicly.

I never use photos for marketing or any other reason without your written permission.

If you choose to release your images, they may be posted to Facebook, on my website, in my blog posts, and on my marketing materials. However, if you choose to sign the release, rest assured that I NEVER use your name on any posts and I do not tag you on social media. Your images stay anonymous. You are more than welcome to tag yourself in any image posted and share them from my website and social media.

Yes!! Professional Hair and Makeup is included in all my boudoir sessions. You will spend approximately 1-1.5 hours in hair and makeup being pampered by one of my amazing artists before we start your session.

Clients must bring their own clothing and jewellery to their boudoir session. However, when you arrive, we will go through your wardrobe options with you to help you choose the perfect pieces. I do suggest bringing a few extra options just in case.

I do have a variety of heels in sizes 39-40, so if you don’t have heels, don’t feel like you have to run out and buy a pair.

Please try on all of your wardrobe pieces before your session to ensure everything fits properly and you are comfortable in it. 

I am an all female company that works with women only. I do not work with couples, men, male identifying individuals or more than 1 client at a time.

You are welcome to schedule back to back shoots with your friends, however all shoots are solo shoots & experiences.

In order to ensure I am able to focus on celebrating and supporting you, and getting images you adore, I ask that your friends do not attend your shoot. They are welcome to walk you to the door, see the studio, meet me – then they can pick you up when your session is finished.

Short answer is no. I want to have 100% of your attention during the photo session. Having a friend present can be a distraction for both you and me. If you feel you must bring someone with you (and that includes furry friends), they are required to wait somewhere else while you are in the studio with me.

I do not work off of a shot list, but if you have a few ideas, I will look at them and try to incorporate them if I can. Rest assured that I have been doing this for a while and know what poses will look great. If you have one small prop such as a coffee mug or a book, feel free to bring it and I can incorporate it in. I do not shoot multiple props, bondage gear or costume-like outfits in the studio. If you have very specific ideas or multiple props to use for your session, it is considered a custom session and will have special pricing. Please call for more details.

I do photograph nudes, and they are done in a very tasteful and artistic style. It is not required that you come into your shoot knowing exactly where your comfort levels are or how much you want to expose. I am flexible and will work with you to capture a variety of images during your shoot in each outfit you bring. I will never pressure you or ask you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable – you can decide at the time how you feel.

All purchased images are retouched to remove distracting items (wall sockets, light switches, etc), to adjust lighting and hue, as well as white balance. Regarding body/skin edits, I follow your lead on editing and will do as much or as little as you would like. Full retouching includes the removal of blemishes, scrapes, bruises and anything temporary on the skin. Upon request, I will remove scars and stretch marks and smooth out cellulite. I will also do minor body modifications, where I smooth any bumps and bulges caused by the pose or your clothing.

Short answer: NO. Honestly, I would much rather have you come in pale or with a very light tan. Self-tanning products, whether it’s lotion or a spray tan, can leave you blotchy. Also, your skin may photograph with an orange tint, even if it doesn’t look orange to the naked eye. A tanning bed or natural suntan can create tan lines or white spots on your skin that may be visible in your photos.

If you insist on having a little colour for your session, I recommend lightly spray tanning 4-5 days before your session so it has time to fade a little. Please watch the areas around your ankles, knees and wrists. If you frequent a tanning bed, watch the area under your bottom and arms, where I usually see white areas. If you do come in with blotchy areas, a deep sunburn, or heavy tan lines, I am not responsible for evening the skin and removing any problem areas.
