Monique knew she needed a new set of profile photos for her coaching business. So when she saw a fellow coach’s updated pictures, she decided to contact the same photographer – me! That was a while ago, when Monique lived in Singapore. The unfortunate part is that I had already left Singapore, so we never met. Fast forward to 2021, and Monique again looked around for a headshot and branding photographer. And who should appear in her LinkedIn feed this time? Me again!!! It must have been fate that we should work together, and I’m glad to say that it actually happened.
I want a headshot that looks like me
Monique’s priority was to get a new and authentic headshot for LinkedIn. It had been years since her last headshot was taken, and now she looked completely different. “I used to be a fake blonde, but now I’m a natural brunette,” she told me jokingly. Monique also needed fresh profile photos for her website, as well as the websites of the many coaching networks that she is a member of.
Bespoke business portraits
To help us to create the perfect business portraits for her needs, Monique and I discussed her business, her brand and her personality. Your branding shoot plan is highly customised to you, your strategy, your marketing plan and your content goals. For this reason, I collaborate with each of my clients in the weeks before their session to consider all the details such as the location, outfit style, and props. I encourage you as the client not to rush and to take this time to really connect with you and your brand. When you plan your profile photos with intention you get more camera time and it enables us to create the strongest and most authentic statements for your brand.
The shoot plan goes into action
On the day of the shoot Monique arrived with all her outfits and props. I had converted one corner of the space into ‘an office’ where she posed with her laptop, flowers, tea etc. Monique was such a lot of fun and a real star in getting the right looks and expression for her pictures. Scroll down to see some of the profile photos she eventually chose.
“I am looking at my authentic me now”
Here’s what Monique had to say about her new branding photos:
What stood out for me from the start is Amber’s professionalism and thoroughness. She gave me ideas on how to prepare for my personal branding photoshoot as well as suggestions on what to wear. The day of the photoshoot was absolute FUN! I would recommend Amber to anyone who wants to look their best. In their professional life or in their personal life. I feel that I am looking at my authentic me now when I look at my social media pages. Thank you Amber for helping me communicate what I stand for!
