Crafting a Vision: Planning the Perfect Geneva Photoshoot
From the initial consultation, it was clear that Isobel and her family wanted something more than just ordinary senior photos. They envisioned a photoshoot that reflected Isobel’s personality, celebrated her accomplishments, and showcased the beauty of Geneva. We discussed her vision in detail, carefully planning every aspect of the session, from the location to the wardrobe. This is a crucial part of my process. I want my clients, especially those graduating, to feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire experience. I take the stress out of planning, handling all the details so my clients can simply relax and enjoy the celebration.
Scheduling the shoot was a little tricky, as it often is with busy high school students, but we eventually found a date in July that worked for everyone. I also arranged for the talented Nataliya to provide Isobel with professional hair and makeup, ensuring she felt her absolute best on the day of her shoot.
Weaving a Story: Capturing the Spirit of Graduation in Geneva
The day of the shoot arrived, and Geneva was bathed in beautiful summer light. We began at the iconic Mont Blanc bridge, capturing stunning editorial-style images with the Rhone River flowing beneath. The Swiss flags added a touch of local flavour to the photos, perfectly reflecting Isobel’s connection to the city.
To showcase Isobel’s academic achievements and her involvement in school activities, we incorporated her varsity jacket into the photoshoot. We captured her walking through Downtown Geneva, her jacket adding a touch of casual elegance to the overall look. Don’t you agree that this image beautifully captures her global spirit, her love of Geneva and her connection to her school community?
Next, Isobel donned her graduation gown and cap, and we headed to a rooftop location with panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the city skyline. These photos truly capture the excitement and anticipation of graduation, with the stunning scenery serving as a perfect backdrop.
From there, we explored the charming Jardin Anglais, capturing playful and celebratory photos that showcased Isobel’s fun personality. The vibrant colours and lively atmosphere of the garden provided a wonderful contrast to the more formal shots.
Our final stop was the enchanting Old Town of Geneva. Here, Isobel changed into a breathtaking sequined midnight-blue gown, creating a striking contrast against the cobblestone streets and medieval architecture. These images are truly magical, capturing the timeless elegance of Geneva and the youthful energy and beauty of Isobel.
More Than Just Photos: Creating Cherished Memories
When Isobel and her mother saw the final photos, they were absolutely thrilled. It was incredibly rewarding to see their joy and excitement. Isobel’s mother chose a beautiful Reveal Box, a unique and elegant way to display her favorite images, allowing them to easily change the featured photo whenever they desire. They also commissioned two large acrylic wall art pieces, ensuring that these cherished memories will be prominently displayed in their home, serving as a constant reminder of this special milestone in Isobel’s life. These tangible keepsakes are so much more than just photographs; they are a lasting legacy of this significant chapter in Isobel’s story.
